Community Action Days

Safer Communities have held several Community Action Days throughout Torbay whereby a team, helped by the Probation Service and local residents, will clean up the neighbourhood.

Safer Communities held its second Community Action Day in Paignton at the end of 2005 whereby the Council filled 3 skips full of unwanted household items. The Police and Fire Service provided crime and fire prevention advice and took numerous referrals for their Safe ‘N’ Secure and Fire Home Safety Checks. They are an excellent opportunity to meet local residents, clean up their neighbourhood and encourage them to look after their own area.
