Covert Capture Cars Fitted with the latest satellite tracking and video technology, covert capture vehicles are parked in hot-spot car crime areas and left unattended. Once the vehicle is tampered with in any way specialist video equipment kicks in and the satellite technology sends a message to nearby officers. The initiative aims to catch people committing vehicle crime while at the same time deterring potential offenders. Several arrests have already taken place and offenders have been imprisoned.
