News Item:
Tuesday 7th February 2006 - Safer Communities Torbay held their
2nd Annual Conference to celebrate 'Good
Practices In Partnership Working'.
Over 130 participants attended the day
at the International Riviera Centre in Torquay. 4 workshops were
held both in the mornings and afternoons to allow everyone to attend
2 workshops of their choice. The workshop themes included:

Families
- hidden harm, supporting parents, domestic abuse, crime, resilience
factors. |
|
|
Substance
Misuse - celebrating successes. |
|
|
Young
People & Crime - anti-social behaviour, youth offending,
interventions. |
|
|
Ward
Partnerships & Community Engagement - best practice. |
Initial feedback from participants has
been excellent, such as "it was great to have an introduction
to innovative projects from outside areas dealing with our priorities
in Torbay". Further feedback is being collated and will be
available on this website shortly.
